It’s Labor Day weekend, one of the biggest grilling weekends of the year. Many things taste delicious on the grill, but some kids may disagree. We kid-tested these recipes and got an A+ from our picky eaters, so now it’s your turn. Happy grilling! 🍔

Mini Cheddar Burgers

Ingredients:
2 lbs. ground beef
Cheddar cheese
1 small onion, diced
Ground black pepper
Kosher salt
Paprika
Slider buns
Condiments (lettuce, pickles, ketchup, etc.)
Bacon (optional, but delicious)

Step 1: Place ground beef, onion, pepper, salt and paprika in a large mixing bowl and mix by hand. Form into small patties.

Step 2: Shape mixture into mini burgers, about the size of your palm. Place on grill and grill for about 4 minutes on each side.

Step 3: Place slice of cheddar cheese on top and let melt, about 1 minute. Take off the grill and enjoy!

Cheddar Dogs

Ingredients:
Hot dogs
Cheddar cheese
Hot dog buns
Condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc.)

Step 1: Okay, these are the easiest thing to make in the world! Cut a slit in the top of the hot dog -- big enough to stuff some cheddar cheese in. Throw it on the grill for a few moments and you're done!

Summer Chicken Skewers

Ingredients:
2 lbs. chicken tenderloins, cut into bite size pieces
Mixed sweet peppers
Cherry tomatoes
Kosher salt
Ground black pepper

Step 1: These skewers are super easy to make! Just cut the chicken and peppers into bite sized pieces.

Step 2: Thread the pieces onto skewers and alternate with the tomatoes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and grill for 7-8 minutes, turning halfway through.

Note: Use grill-ready skewers. Bamboo skewers will melt on the grill unless soaked in water an hour prior.

Tiny Grilling Potatoes

Ingredients:
2 lbs baby Yukon potatoes
Olive oil
Rosemary
Basil
Thyme
Ground black pepper
Kosher salt

Step 1: Wash and clean baby potatoes. Cut in halves or quarters depending on size.

Step 2: Toss potatoes, olive oil and spices in a bowl. Portion individually and put into aluminum foil. Grill on high for 25 minutes.

Smores Banana Boats

Ingredients:
Bunch of ripe bananas
Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Mini marshmallows

Steps:
Slice banana open from one end to the other. Fill with chocolate chips and top with mini marshmallows. Grill on medium-high heat for 4-6 minutes and enjoy!
