- What childcare programs does The Sunshine House offer? What ages do you serve?

We provide state-licensed educational daycare, preschool and early education programs for children 6 weeks to 12 years old. We offer programs for infants, toddlers, early preschool, preschool, Pre-K, school-age and summer camp programs. Learn more about our Programs or contact a school for details.

- Which curriculum do you use? Is it state approved?

We utilize the award-winning Creative Curriculum® in our classrooms, blended with the latest research into early education and brain development. Creative Curriculum® is one of the few curriculums approved by every State Department of Education in the country. We also provide school readiness, Spanish, literacy and sign language programs.
In our Infant, Toddler, and Early Preschool/Explorer classrooms, we use our exclusive Brain Connect curriculum series. These programs are individualized to your child, and are designed around the 5 building blocks of brain development to ensure your child progresses toward important developmental goals.

- What are your teacher qualifications?

Our teachers are certified by the state and meet or exceed all childcare requirements. We require criminal background checks through local, state and/or federal agencies and verify educational credentials prior to employment. All teachers are trained in CPR and first aid, and complete trainings in early childhood health and safety. Teachers also complete annual professional development trainings to strengthen skills and keep apprised of the most recent research into early childhood education.
- How do I get updates on my child? Do you have a mobile app?

Yes, the MySunshineHouse app is our free family mobile app! When you download our free mobile app, you’ll receive photos and videos of your child, updates on diapering, naps, meals, activities, electronic daily reports and more. Ask your Director today to get started with the app!
- Is your building secure?

Yes, we are a secure facility. Our front door is secured with electronic keypad entry, so only authorized staff and families may enter. Families receive a unique PIN to access the school during business hours. Visitors must sign-in and provide a valid ID prior to entering our school.
- Do you have cameras in the classroom?

Yes, all Sunshine House schools have security cameras in our classrooms that management and families may view in the school lobby.
- Do I need to pack meals for my child?

Each day your child is served a healthy breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. Meals are prepared on-site and included in your tuition at no extra charge. Our menus are planned by a licensed nutritionist and follow recommendations provided by the USDA’s Choose My Plate program and specific state requirements. Your child's weekly menu is posted in advance, so you always know what is being served.
- We are a peanut-free facility.
- We always provide a vegetarian option.
- We adapt menus based on your child’s allergies and/or food sensitivities.
- We provide a balance of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
- We limit foods high in sugar and/or fat.
- What if my child has an allergy?

Due to the number of children with peanut allergies, we do not serve peanut products. If your child has an allergy, please include this information on your enrollment paperwork so we can make appropriate food substitutions.
- Do you take the children outdoors?

Weather permitting, we take children outside every day. During inclement weather, we plan indoor activities designed to exert the same amount of physical activity and to promote movement and large muscle development.
- Can I stop by and visit my child?

We have an open-door policy, and you are welcome to visit any time.
- Do you have a family referral program?

We do! We hope you have a fantastic experience at The Sunshine House and tell your friends and family. With our Family Rewards Program, if you refer a full-time family you’ll receive a $100 tuition credit. If you refer a part-time family, you’ll receive a $50 tuition credit. - Do you have parent-teacher conferences?

We encourage you to participate in family conferences. Conferences provide great opportunities to discuss your child’s progress, to share observations and to determine learning goals and next steps together. If you’re interested in scheduling a family conference, please contact your Director.
- How do I enroll my child in The Sunshine House?

To enroll in one of our programs, contact the school you are interested in attending to check classroom availability. Your Director will give you an Enrollment Package containing forms required by your state. Submit your completed Enrollment Package to your Director to complete your registration and set your start date! Find out more on our How to Enroll page.
- How much is daycare or preschool tuition?

Childcare costs vary by school, your child’s age, the number of days and the number of hours per day you need care. The best way to get tuition information is to contact the school you’re interested in attending. Your Director can walk you through our programs and care options, and answer all your questions. You may also download tuition rates for a specific school by visiting that school’s webpage and requesting tuition information from their ChatBot. - When is tuition due? What forms of payment do you accept?

Tuition is due weekly, by the close of business on Tuesday, for the week of attendance. Parents wishing to pay bi-weekly or monthly must pay in advance.
We accept credit card and ACH payments via the MySunshineHouse app. Depending on the payment method, processing fees will apply. Auto payments are also available. Please ask your Center Director for details.
