💗 Valentine's Day is around the corner! It's time to get crafty. Work on those fine motor skills with this fun heart craft, perfect for any time of year! Just grab a few household items, and start making some heart art.
Materials:Â
-
- Cardstock paper
- Non-toxic paint (we recommend red, pink, purple, and other fun colors)
- A few recycled toilet paper rolls (one for each paint color)
- A paper plate
- Tape
Setup & Instructions:Â
1. Set up your craft area. We highly recommend laying out newspaper or butcher paper to protect your table or surface area from paint.
2. Flatten the toilet paper rolls to create a crease along both edges.
3. Bend one crease inwards to create a heart shape.
-
-
- Pro tip: Use a piece of tape to keep the heart shape intact.
-
Â
4. Place a little paint on the paper plate. Add as many colors as you'd like to use! Or, mix them up to create your own colors.
5. Use a piece of cardstock paper as the canvas.
-
-
- Pro tip: Fold the cardstock in half to make a Valentine's Day card for a loved one! 🥰
-
6. Have your child dip the end of their heart-shaped tube into the paint. They can use this as a stamp to create their pretty artwork on their cardstock paper or card.
