Meet Our Director, Tricia Burgess
My name is Tricia Burgess and I have been educating children for over 39 years. I started in the public school system in Charlotte, North Carolina as a manager with special services before transferring to the public school system in Jacksonville, Florida. When I moved back to my home state of South Carolina I began working with the Tri-County Head Start program as a program manager. I also had the privilege of serving as the Director at the Charles Webb Center for children with special needs.
I started working for the Sunshine House in 2012. I have met amazing educators that have inspired me on my journey in childcare. I knew from a very young age that education was my passion and career choice. I also enjoy dancing and baking delicious treats for my friends, coworkers and family. Children are our future and I am honored to be a part of their growth and development by nurturing, educating, and inspiring them to make a difference in the world.
