Meet the Director, Fran Bartlett

Hi, my name is Fran Bartlett and I am the Director of The Sunshine House in Summerville. I have been with The Sunshine House since 1992. I was a teacher with every age group until becoming a director in 1999.

I have two wonderful boys Cody, age 22, and Kobe, age 15. I also married my high school sweetheart, John, 25 years ago. We have a Weimaraner, Tinsel.

Caring for and nurturing children is all I am wired to do. It is my passion. I attended Trident Technical College in Charleston in 2010 and graduated with honors in Applied Science and Early Childhood Education.

I love reading and spending lots of time at the beach! Living on the coast is the best!

  • I have always enjoyed my child going to The Sunshine House. I am extremely impressed as of late with the professionalism, with the teachers and the School Administrator! Thank you for all that you do!

  • The Sunshine House works for your children. They care about them as if they were their own. I am not sure I’ve ever seen anything quite like this.

    -Kym D.

  • Is it normal to feel guilty and miss your kids every day you are away from them when you work a full time, Monday-Friday job? That said, I couldn't think of a better place for them to be, because you and your staff treat all the kids as if they were your own. So thank you and I guess I should be grateful when they go to bed at night telling me how much they love all of their teachers and their friends... Let alone be grateful for the amazing gains they both have made.

    -Sara

  • I have seen my children grow and prosper radiantly in the last two months. I am so glad I chose The Sunshine House. I am so blessed and thankful to have my children in your hands.
