Learn about the dedicated leaders at the heart of our center.
Hi, I’m Susan Moore-Plaster! With more than 33 years of experience in early childhood education, I've dedicated my career to helping children and families feel supported and confident. My passion for this work began with a love for teaching and grew through my own experiences as a mother and educator, making this field a true calling for me.
I have served in many roles, including Infant, Preschool, and School-Age Teacher, Assistant Director, and Child Development Coordinator. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Behavior from Point University, an Associate degree in Psychology, an NCECE Certificate from John Wesley College, and an NCEC Administration Certificate from GTCC.
Family is at the center of everything I do. My husband and I have two children and two beautiful granddaughters, and our family has been shaped by the blessing of adoption, a journey that has deepened my heart for children and families. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, cheering on baseball, (go Yankees!) and serving at my church, where I teach Sunday school.
Hi, I’m Anthony Stallings! I have worked in early childhood education for more than seven years and joined The Sunshine House in 2025. I have served as a Lead Teacher in school-age classrooms, where I’ve enjoyed helping children learn, grow, and build confidence.
I hold an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and a second associate degree in Applied Arts. I am currently continuing my education at University of Mount Olive, where I am working toward my Birth-Kindergarten degree.
What inspires me most about childcare is the opportunity to make a difference in children’s lives each day and to bring a unique perspective as a male educator in the field. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Marie, and our three children, along with our two dogs, Lady and Shredder. As a family, we love relaxing at home, watching movies, and visiting the coast of Southport.
