My name is Tyniko Burrison, and I have more than 16 years of early care and education experience. I'm a South Carolina native, but moved to the capital city in 2001 where I began my early child and education journey. I obtained my Associates of Arts Degree in Early Care and Education in 2012, and am currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education at Columbia College.
I've worked as an assistant teacher, lead teacher, mentor teacher, curriculum coordinator, technical assistance provider, trainer, assistant director and center director. I am the mother of a wonderful 20-year-old daughter, and volunteer as a Girl Scout leader, and dance instructor for girl ages 4-12.
In my free time I enjoy shopping, reading and spending time with family. Early childhood education is my passion and I enjoy making an impact in the lives of children and families everyday.
We feel like family and wouldn't have our children anywhere else. The manager and assistant manager are top notch. There is always an open door and great communication. I feel like my kids are safe and well taken care of. We highly recommend this center.
Thank you for taking care of Caleb! We appreciate each of you and are so happy we decided on the Sunshine House. Thanks for being so sweet!
The sunshine house is truly a great place! The teachers, including the ones who aren’t directly teaching my child all know him and treat him wonderfully! He always comes home having a good day and I know he is in great hands while he is there!
My son has been at Sunshine House since he was four months old! He is almost four! We have had wonderful teachers, superb care, awesome activities. We will be keeping our son at Sunshine House for Pre-K! A great place for your children to feel safe and be loved like family.
The teachers are so patient and caring, and have really made us feel part of the Sunshine House family. So happy my child can continue there for years to come, with the after-school program, and summer camps. Can't imagine anyone else giving her such an enriching, and loving, early education experience.
