Meet Our Director, Rochelsa Burson
Hi, I’m Rochelsa Burson, a South Carolina native with more than 27 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. I’ve worked as an Instructional Assistant for 10 years, including nine years in Sumter School District and one in Richland.
I’m a mother of two adult sons, a teenage daughter, and a grandmother to one. Outside of work, I enjoy family time, shopping, thrifting, decorating, and traveling.
I’m passionate about early education and believe learning begins in the womb. I’m excited to serve as Center Director and be part of The Sunshine House team!
Meet Our Assistant Director, Natalia Nemer
Hi, I'm Natalia Nemer! I have been dedicated to Early Childhood Education for more than 10 years and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. My roots are in Brazil, but I've called the U.S. home since 2020. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband and our three dogs, organizing my space, and having craft nights with my friends.
I believe in the power of early education and the importance of providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Maria Montessori once said, “The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.”
I'm so excited to be part of the Sunshine House family and look forward to making a positive impact on the children, families, and staff.
