Meet Our Director, Kelysha Whitehurst
Hello! My name is Kelysha Whitehurst. I have more than 8 years of experience as a teacher and child development administrator. I earned a master’s degree in early childhood studies, bachelor’s degree in child and adolescent development, and associates in social & behavioral science.
I am a first-time aunty to my beautiful niece, who is 10 months old. I just recently relocated to North Carolina from California with my family. My family and I enjoy spending time together over a good meal and a good movie.
I am dedicated in making sure the families we serve have access to a high-quality program that doesn’t just focus on academics, but the child as a whole. I aim to provide support and create a strong partnership with families and staff as we work together to prepare children to flourish in academia and their everyday life. I’m excited to come on board with The Sunshine House family, and I’m looking forward to creating close relationships with those in the Hope Mills, NC community.
