Meet Our Director, Tae Dixon
My name is Tae Dixon, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Center Director at The Sunshine House of Hope Mills. My journey with The Sunshine House began in 2000 when I attended as a student. It has been a wonderful part of my life, and I am excited to continue this journey in a leadership role.
My daughter is currently enrolled at The Sunshine House, and it has been amazing to see her grow in such a nurturing environment. Over the past year, I have been the Program Manager, which has given me valuable insights and has prepared me for this new role.
Before joining The Sunshine House, I was a teacher in the public school system, working with students from kindergarten through sixth grade. This experience has given me a solid foundation in education and a deep understanding of the needs of young learners.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from East Carolina University, a master's degree in elementary education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and I am looking forward to graduating next fall with a double master’s in leadership, policy, and advocacy in early childhood from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
I am eager to bring my background and passion for early childhood education to our center. I look forward to working with all of you to create a positive and enriching environment for our children. Together, we will continue to grow and achieve great things within The Sunshine House community.
Thank you for your warm welcome, and I can’t wait to embark on this new opportunity with all of you.
