- Meet Our Director
Meet Our Director, Andrea Gonzales-Jarrett
My name is Andrea Gonzales-Jarrett, and I’m the Center Director of The Sunshine House in Frisco! I’ve been in the early childhood field for nearly a decade! I began my career with The Sunshine House in 2011 as a school-age teacher at our school in Little Elm. In that time, I progressed to Assistant Director, Director-in-Training, and now Center Director. I have been at our Frisco school since July of 2017, and I am so excited to be a part of this community!
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Texas in 2014 with majors in Kinesiology and Social Science. I live in Little Elm with my husband Brandon, as an art teacher for LEISD, and our two boys – Rylan and Nolan. We also have a rambunctious dog named Kalisto. In my spare time, I love going to Rylan’s baseball games and just enjoying time with my family.
My philosophy for educating young children is to allow them to take the lead by encouraging them to learn through their environment and asking endless questions about it! There is nothing I love more than to see a child light up with excitement as they discover something new!
- Meet Our Assistant Director
Meet Our Assistant Director, Jamie Torda
Hi! My name is Jamie Torda and I am the Assistant Director at the Sunshine House in Frisco. I have been a part of the Sunshine House family for almost 5 years, and I began my career in early childhood education as an infant teacher at our Little Elm school. I have a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of North Texas.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have been married for 8 years, and have two sons with a new baby on the way in July of 2020! We also have been hosting exchange students from various countries for several years and enjoy learning new things about their countries.
I love my job and enjoy connecting with families on a daily basis. We have a great Sunshine House family here in Frisco and I could not imagine myself anywhere else! I love that I get to take part in the learning and growing of each child every day they are here.
