1. It makes a huge difference

Most holiday gift lists created by children in need are items they need daily: shirts, shoes, hats, jackets – materialistic items are not the focus. Additionally, most Christmas lists are under $50. For just under $50, you could make a tremendous impact on a child’s life during the most cheerful time of year.

2. It’s only $50!

We’ve all heard the phrase, “change a life for the cost of a cup of coffee a day.” Realistically, many of us have our ‘guilty pleasures’ we buy multiple times a week or numerous times a month. For some of us, it’s a Venti White Mocha from Starbucks. For others, it’s a chicken minis meal from Chick-fil-A, or something else that averages $5-$7 each time you indulge. Consider swapping your happy habit for a ONE MONTH sponsorship. By opting out of a daily or weekly spend, you can sponsor without your wallet even noticing.

3. It teaches your children valuable lessons

Sponsorship gives our children an opportunity to learn about others. It provides a level of understanding and appreciation for what we have that cannot be taught with just words, and nurtures a mindset that helps them grow in maturity.

4. It brings joy

Sponsoring a holiday list not only brings joy to the child you are sponsoring -- but to you and your family as well. Knowing a child is warm or doesn’t have to go without socks because you lent a hand, is a valuable and unforgettable experience for you and your family.

 5. You’re changing the life of a child

You’re giving a child hope – he or she knows someone somewhere cares about them. This hope has an overwhelming value in a child’s life and makes a bigger impact than we could ever imagine. When we consider the staggering statistics about hunger and suffering, it can be hard to imagine how to make an impact. Why not start one child at a time?
