Is it normal to feel guilty and miss your kids every day you are away from them when you work a full time, Monday-Friday job? That said, I couldn't think of a better place for them to be, because you and your staff treat all the kids as if they were your own. So thank you and I guess I should be grateful when they go to bed at night telling me how much they love all of their teachers and their friends... Let alone be grateful for the amazing gains they both have made.

Meet Our Director, Sarah Plankis

Hello! My name is Sarah Plankis. I have 16 years of experience as a teacher and administrator, and I have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am a Reggio Emilia trained teacher and believe children are capable of incredible things. As your Director, I strive to create a nurturing and positive environment for children to blossom and grow.

I am from Southern California and moved to Colorado in 2018. I have 2 beautiful children of my own, a 1-year-old and 4-year-old. There is never a dull moment in our home. We spend a lot of time outside; walking, hiking, and exploring the outdoors.

The Sunshine House has become part of my family, and I would love for you to become a part of ours.
