Meet Our Director, Tahshia Johnson
My name is Tahshia Johnson, the Center Director of Fayetteville at Camden Road. I have worked for the Sunshine House for 15 years and have been working in the early childhood field for nearly 27 years. I personally believe there is not a more rewarding field than working with young children, watching them grow and reach milestones.
As a childcare director, I make it my responsibility to ensure all the children in our center are provided with a loving, nurturing, educational, warm and learning environment to help them grow and prepare them for the future. It has always been my mission to make sure all our children and their families know that they are a part of our family. I am so blessed to have created so many strong, lasting bonds with our families over the years.
I am the proud mother of three handsome sons, ages 29, 26, and 22. I absolutely love watching NFL football and have been a true die-hard fan of America’s team, The Dallas Cowboys, since I was 8 years old (and being from New York, that’s not easily understood)!
When I am not here with our little ones at our center, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, watching a good movie, or reading a good mystery novel. I also enjoy listening to some good 90’s music!

Meet Our Assistant Director, Vesca McCrowie
My name is Vesca McCrowie, and I have been with The Sunshine House since 2019. I was promoted to Assistant Director in November 2021.
I have been working in childcare for about eight years. I received my associate degree in early childhood education from Robeson Community College. I am a proud mother of one. In my spare time when I’m not out here being superwoman I enjoy sleeping, listening to music, being with family and friends, and going to the movies.
